- Focus on the meaning in your work.. Find the meaning behind what you do. How does it help others? How does it contribute to a bigger cause? This might require reframing your perspective. For example, instead of thinking that you process paperwork, focus on what processing that paperwork achieves for the end user or customer.
- Take ownership of your work. When we feel connected to what we’re doing, when we make something our own, we’re much more motivated. Customize your work and make small tweaks so that you have some autonomy and own it.
- Think about the inside view. Which part of the task do you enjoy the most or what will be the end result? Think positively to make starting tasks easier and more pleasant.
